Find Your Ancestors
If you’re looking for information on your Egan ancestry, or you’re not sure if you’re related to Clan Egan, we recommend you do the following:
1.) First, see if you can find your Egan ancestors in the world’s largest on-line genealogical database at Family Search. The Family Search website provides you with access to the extensive genealogical records of the Family History Library (FHL) of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
2.) Second, you can contact a professional genealogist or genealogical research firm (such as GRC) to conduct additional research on your behalf.
3.) Third, for a great starting point on tracing your Egan Clan ancestors, check out The National Archives website – both the 1901 and 1911 Irish Census have been fully digitalized and uploaded online. And you don’t need a lot of information to get started; in fact simply typing Egan into the ‘Surname’ field will set you well on your way!
4) Fourth, the Links to Helpful Websites section of this site may be of help to you in your genealogical research endeavors.
